Korg OASYS keyboard

The Korg OASYS
“THIS PAGE”:http://www.karma-lab.com/oasys/ “will be used to support and promote the OASYS (both in relation to KARMA Technology, and just in general.) So bookmark it and check frequently in the coming weeks and months for all sorts of information about the OASYS. Also, visit Korg USA’s OASYS Page for the complete specs, more demos, and more information.”

OH MY GOD! SO AMAZING!
This is the most incredible single piece of music/audio equipment I have ever seen! You can do anything with this thing! Why it looks to be just a keyboard, you say… Then why does it have a 40 gig hard disc? For 16 tracks of audio recording? And a crazy KARMA midi generation system? And sequencing? What?

An interview over at “keyboard magazine”:http://www.keyboardmag.com/story.asp?storycode=7833 talks to the core Korg team about the development of this, their latest flagship product and really gives a neat impression of the company, and also what it means in general to work in the industry… who knows… maybe someday? It’s a great combination of my interests in music and computers…

More info specifically on the Karma engine as it relates to the OASYS can be found at the “karma lab”:http://www.karma-lab.com/oasys/ Be sure to check out the videos!!!!!

Funny aside, the reason I even found this, was because it was recommended on “Herbie Hancock’s website”:http://www.herbiehancock.com/recommends/

Blogs

While researching for my Bordering Nations paper for Geography (of Mexico and Central America), I came across some intriguing blogs, which I encourage you to check out.

The first is quite perplexing, and is being written by a young woman who is “on the run” from something– perhaps her life, family, circumstances etc… and is writing extensively about her experiences.
“she’s a flight risk”:http://shes.aflightrisk.org/

The second was found when reading on the above blog. It’s written by a young Iraqi man, and provides an illuminating and refreshingly human perspective to the whole conflict etc.
“Dear Raed”:http://dear_raed.blogspot.com/

A few other interesting links I found around in the past few minutes…
“Mozy”:https://mozy.com/ 2 GB of free online backup space… requires WinXP, but looks genuine!

Gates sees the future in 3D

On his 50th Birthday, Bill Gates, Microsoft founder and multibillionaire, let his guard down and loosely spoke about his vision of the future. And when Gates announces his vision of the future, everyone should take notice, because with money, control, and a company like his, the future will be whatever the man wills it to be.

Editorial: The Impact of the Revolution Controller | Nintendo Spin

What we have with the Revolution controller is the most original, innovative, functional gaming input device ever made. Nothing even comes close. It is a thing of beauty, of unrivaled brilliance.

Kind of a weird article, but it outlines the basic premise behind Nintendo’s newest developments in video gaming UI, and it sounds AWESOME!!!!

Plus, I heard somewhere the Revolution is supposed to retail for like US $50? Um… I want one?

Nintendo Revolution… SO beautiful
